The Apothecary Witch is an individual that Greg and Jason Funderburker initially come across through their dream adventure in the Unknown.
Appearance[]
The Apothecary Witch has long, shoulder-length purple hair, and has a tan skin complexion. She appears to wear 18th century clothing with her plain worker's apron and red button-up bodice, while underneath is a long-sleeved teal shirt. She wears a violet, mid-calf length, skirt and matching colored boots. She has a simple black bola tie and wears rectangular eye glasses. She also wears a tall black Welsh hat with a coral ribbon above the brim. Resting on top of the brim is a dead bird.
History[]
Not much is known about the Apothecary Witch other than her trade, running an apothecary shop and creating concoctions. Greg and Jason Funderburker run into her after leaving the squirrel and moles and find a never-ending trail of ducks. These ducks keep coming out of her cauldron and she is not sure what she did wrong. Handing Greg her large wooden spoon to stir, Greg intervenes and scoops out black gunk from inside, and thus stopping the ducks. Inside of the gunk was one of the infamous black turtles that cause chaos in The Unknown.

She appears to be a victim of rumors and bullying seeing as she is crafting a concoction or spell to stop them.
Trivia[]
- She is the third witch mentioned in the Over the Garden Wall Series. The other two being the sisters, Adelaide and Aunty Whispers.
- She was going to turn herself into rubber before Greg and Jason Funderburker leave because she needed a bouncy animal.[1]
- Greg believed that she was making soup.[1]
- She runs an apothecary shop called, Potion's Prepared Remedies Readied.
