The Butcher is a character who appears in "Songs of the Dark Lantern."
Appearance[]
The butcher has gray hair kept in a ponytail. He wears a blue shirt and dark blue pants under a white apron and holds a meat cleaver.
Biography[]
The butcher was in the tavern when Wirt, Gregory, and Beatrice arrived there. When the toymaker called Wirt the "young lover", the butcher demanded that Wirt sing a love song, along with the midwife. After Wirt sang his terrible song, the butcher called him the "pilgrim" and lifted him above his head so that Wirt could tell stories of his travels. He dropped Wirt after he mentioned the Beast.
