Lullaby in Frogland is the sixth episode of Over the Garden Wall. Most of the episode takes place on the Frogland Ferry, which as its name implies, is crewed by uniformed frogs and provides an all-frog band to entertain a large number of nattily attired frog passengers wearing late 19th century garb. Wirt, Greg and Beatrice appear to be the only non-ticket holding, non-amphibians on board. Greg - and even Wirt - relax, as the are traveling to Adelaide's house and expect to be home soon. Beatrice, though, is glum. She attempts to convince Wirt and Greg to abandon their goal of reaching Adelaide. She has come to like and care for the brothers, and is doubting her decision to hand Wirt and Greg over to Adelaide so that she can restore her family and herself back to their human form.

At the opening song of the first episode, the boat seen being released by the two boys is the ferry on which the frogs are riding.  It is implied that this boat was lost by the two boys, thus ending up in the "unknown".

Trivia

  • The name of the Ferry is McLoughlin Brothers Ferry, referencing the McLoughlin Brothers who published numerous children's books between 1828 and 1920
  • The song "Over the Garden Wall" that Greg's frog sings actually foreshadows somewhat things that are later revealed that happened with Wirt and Greg in the real world: references to a lake and a single soul (Wirt) who is "content to be slightly forlorn."
